Democrats Say They Will Win Back House Control In 2024, You Agree?

Democrat Who Banned Trump From 2024 Ballot Doubles Down

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold revealed that she has faced a barrage of threats on her life following the initiation of legal proceedings aimed at excluding former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 ballot. Speaking openly on X (formerly Twitter), Griswold directed followers to an interview conducted before Christmas, expressing her apprehension about potential violence from Trump supporters. In a recent update on Saturday, she disclosed that she had received 64 death threats within three weeks of the lawsuit’s filing, opting to cease counting thereafter. Defiantly, she asserted her refusal to be cowed, emphasizing her commitment to upholding democracy and fostering peace in the face of perceived tyranny and violence.

Although Griswold did not instigate the legal action against Trump, she actively participated in the hearings that brought the case before the state Supreme Court. The initial lawsuit alleging a violation of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was filed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, ultimately resulting in Colorado becoming the first state to bar Trump from its 2024 ballot. Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows followed suit later in the week.

In a disturbing turn of events, FBI officials disclosed their investigation into threats targeting the justices of the Colorado Supreme Court who ruled against Trump. Simultaneously, Bellows experienced a concerning incident, as her residence was subjected to a false report leading to a SWAT team intervention over the holiday weekend.

Despite facing multiple legal challenges, including federal charges related to mishandling classified documents, Trump maintains a significant lead in GOP presidential nomination polls. Pleading not guilty to all 91 felony charges, he continues to navigate a complex legal landscape as he seeks political prominence.
