Does America Need Trump Back Badly?

Trump Wins The GOP Nomination?

During an interview with Newsmax on Saturday, GOP House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, representing New York, made a significant statement regarding the future of the Republican Party. Stefanik proclaimed that former President Donald Trump is currently considered the “presumptive nominee” for the GOP, firmly stating that “there is no primary” in contention.

Appearing on the program “America Right Now,” Stefanik underscored Trump’s remarkable victories in early primary states and his unwavering support among grassroots Republicans, despite facing criticism from mainstream media and certain factions within the party.

“Let’s be clear, there is no primary. President Trump is the presumptive nominee,” Stefanik asserted. “His source of strength derives from the unwavering support of the American people who stand firmly behind him, despite the relentless attacks from the mainstream media and detractors within our own party. We are confident that he will lead us to save this country.”

Stefanik took aim at former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, accusing her of parroting “Democrat talking points” and expressed her certainty in Trump’s ability to secure victory in the upcoming South Carolina primary.

“It’s disappointing to see Nikki Haley regurgitating Democrat talking points,” Stefanik remarked, pointing out Trump’s consistent presence at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and the enthusiasm surrounding his participation. “His continued engagement with grassroots conservatives is testament to his enduring popularity.”

Expanding the discussion to encompass broader policy concerns, Stefanik emphasized the significance of women’s perspectives on issues ranging from crime and border security to economic challenges. She attributed the current economic hardships and escalating prices to what she characterized as President Joe Biden’s “abject failure” in governance.

“Every issue is a woman’s issue,” Stefanik emphasized. “The struggles we face today are a direct result of President Biden’s incompetence.”

These remarks come at a crucial juncture as South Carolina voters participate in the Republican presidential primary. Trump is widely anticipated to secure a resounding victory over Haley, with polling data indicating a substantial lead for the former president in the state, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

According to the nonpartisan analysis by FiveThirtyEight, Trump maintains an average lead of 31 percentage points in South Carolina. Having emerged victorious in all previous primary contests, Trump unequivocally stands as the frontrunner in the GOP race.

“I firmly believe that as President Trump continues to highlight his successes – whether in the economy, national security, or border control – in stark contrast to Joe Biden’s failures, his support will only grow,” Stefanik concluded.
