Will Biden Fix The Economy If Re-Elected This November?

Biden Raises More Than Trump

In February, President Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) significantly outpaced Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) in cash reserves, as per a report by Politico.

Biden’s campaign alone amassed $21.3 million in donations during February, boasting a substantial $71 million cash reserve, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission. When combined with the DNC, the Democratic coffers swelled to a formidable $97.5 million.

Meanwhile, Trump’s fundraising efforts yielded $10.9 million, supplemented by the RNC’s $10.7 million, resulting in a combined cash reserve of $44.8 million. Notably, these figures exclude contributions from joint fundraising committees, as reported by Politico.

Despite leading Biden by a marginal 2-point margin in the RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump and the GOP are trailing behind their 2020 fundraising benchmarks at this juncture in the election cycle.

The financial landscape is further complicated by Trump’s allocation of funds to cover legal expenses, a move not mirrored by the Biden campaign, which reported a modest $122,000 in legal fees for February.

The recent change in leadership at the RNC, with Michael Whatley and Lara Trump assuming key roles, signals a strategic shift. They’ve initiated a staff overhaul, emphasizing a singular focus on winning in November. Lara Trump’s assertion to Newsmax anticipates a fundraising resurgence post-RNC makeover.

Meanwhile, Super PACs aligned with Biden have pledged a formidable $450 million for advertising against Trump. Biden’s campaign expenditure totaled $6.3 million in February, with projections for a significant surge in March, marked by a $30 million investment in TV and digital ads.

Additionally, the Biden campaign is poised to expand its workforce substantially, with over 300 new staff expected to come onboard in March, underscoring their commitment to a robust electoral strategy, as highlighted by Politico’s reporting.
