Steele’s comments came in response to Trump’s recent social media activity, particularly a video shared on his Truth Social platform depicting President Joe Biden bound and lying in the back of a truck. Additionally, Trump launched verbal attacks against judges presiding over his legal cases, notably targeting Judge Juan Merchan and his family.
Expressing astonishment at Trump’s disregard for legal norms, Steele criticized the system for what he perceived as bending over backwards to accommodate Trump’s behavior. He questioned the wisdom behind Merchan’s decision to exempt himself and his daughter from the gag order imposed on Trump, highlighting the former president’s history of disruptive actions.

Tyler referenced Trump’s prior remarks, including his encouragement to the Proud Boys, as evidence of his propensity to inflame tensions within the political sphere.
