Media Says Voters Won't Support Trump Now That He's A Felon, You Agree?

Bill Maher Destroys Biden Over The Border

During a recent episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” host Bill Maher expressed skepticism about President Joe Biden’s new executive order concerning border control. Maher addressed Biden’s asylum ban, which targets immigrants who have crossed the southern border, labeling the measure a “Hail Mary.”

Maher noted that Biden had previously claimed he was powerless to act on this issue. Yet now, mere months before the election, Biden plans to implement an executive order reminiscent of one former President Trump attempted, but which was blocked by the courts. Biden’s order aims to cap asylum seekers at 2,500 per month, shutting the border if that number is exceeded.

Maher highlighted two potential reasons Biden could lose the upcoming election: his age and the contentious issue of immigration. Over 10 million immigrants have come into the U.S. illegally since Biden became president, a record number compared to any previous administration. Maher emphasized the scale by comparing it to the population of Nicaragua, suggesting Biden has effectively let in an entire nation’s worth of people.

Maher criticized the fluctuating nature of Biden’s policy, comparing it to surge pricing on Uber. He argued that the policy, which resumes standard procedures when numbers drop to 1,500, pleases no one and appears as a desperate, last-minute attempt to address immigration. According to Maher, Biden initially tried to push legislation through Congress, but Republicans blocked it, preferring to use immigration as a political issue rather than resolving it.

Maher also implied that the Democratic Party avoids defining limits on immigration, fearing accusations of racism. He suggested that this reluctance to set boundaries could be politically damaging.

Despite these efforts, Biden’s border policies do not seem to be gaining favor among Latino voters. A March poll indicated that while Biden leads Trump in Latino voter favorability—41% to 32%—this is a drop from December 2021, when Biden held a 53% favorability compared to Trump’s 24%.

The Pew Research Center predicts that there’s going to be 36.2 million Latino voters this year, an increase from 32.3 million in 2020. In the 2020 election, 59% of Latino voters supported Biden.
