Is Biden doomed?

In the key state of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, the race is very tight, with Biden and Trump divided by no more than 2 percentage points.

Biden has made gains in several Sun Belt states since last month, narrowing Trump’s lead in North Carolina to 7 points, reducing it to 5 points in Arizona, and just 3 points in Georgia. The two candidates are now tied in Nevada.

Additional findings from the poll indicate:

When considering other presidential candidates, Trump secures 44% of the vote, Biden 40%, and independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. garners 7%, with no other candidate reaching more than 1%.

Biden’s favorability rating stands at 42%, with 41% of respondents viewing him very unfavorably.

Trump is viewed slightly more favorably, with a 45% favorability rating, though 44% of respondents have a very unfavorable impression of him.

Republicans in Congress are viewed more favorably than their Democratic counterparts, with a 48% favorability rating compared to the Democrats’ 45%.

When voters were asked about the most important issue influencing their decision in the upcoming presidential election, the economy topped the list at 35%. Immigration followed at 14%, and concerns about democracy ranked third at 10%.

Other significant issues for voters included abortion (9%), senior services such as Social Security and Medicare (7%), and healthcare (4%). No other issue exceeded 3% in importance.

The survey was conducted online with 4,962 registered voters from the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin between May 7-13. The data was weighted to reflect a representative sample of swing-state registered voters, considering several factors.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point across these seven states.
