Democrats Losing Control Of Their Own Party
Representative Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee, expressed his concerns to Newsmax on Saturday about the Biden administration’s decision to have Vice President Kamala Harris represent the United States at international peace negotiations. He suggested that this choice indicates a lack of control within the administration.
Vice President Harris attended a peace summit in Switzerland on Saturday, where she committed an additional $1.5 billion to support Ukraine’s energy sector and address humanitarian needs following Russia’s invasion in February 2022.
During his appearance on “Saturday Report,” Burchett, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, argued that sending Harris to such a significant event reflects poorly on President Joe Biden’s leadership. He believes this move highlights the administration’s broader issues on the global stage.
“I think the problem is they have a bunch of 25-year-old guys with man buns in the White House advising the president. They have no historical knowledge of anything that’s going on and,” Burchett said, adding that they are “not cognizant of the face that we are the laughingstock of the world right now.”
Burchett went on to criticize Biden’s overall performance as president, describing him as one of the worst leaders in recent history. “Joe Biden is clearly one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had, definitely in my lifetime. And they’re just spinning out of control. They can’t get out of their own way,” he stated, emphasizing his view that the current administration is struggling to maintain control and credibility on the world stage.
