Democrats Say Trump Lies More Than Biden Is This True?

Trump’s Potential V.P. Refuses To Answer Critical Question

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum sidestepped inquiries regarding his potential candidacy for Vice President on Donald Trump’s shortlist during an interview on NBC News’s Meet the Press. When pressed for a direct answer on whether he had discussed the role with Trump, Burgum deflected, stating that any such discussions would remain confidential between him and the former president.

Burgum emphasized that Trump has a pool of qualified candidates under consideration, downplaying any personal involvement in the selection process. He noted that Trump’s recent debate performance against President Joe Biden and his favorable polling position have bolstered his campaign, suggesting Trump’s ability to potentially win without a vice presidential candidate.

Addressing criticisms leveled at Trump for making allegedly false statements during the debate, Burgum defended the former president, arguing that Trump’s remarks were consistent with his previous positions and not deserving of the media’s exaggerated scrutiny.

Trump’s roster of potential running mates includes high-profile figures such as Senators Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, and J.D. Vance, as well as staunch allies like Representatives Elise Stefanik and Byron Donalds. The decision on Trump’s vice presidential pick is expected to be disclosed at the upcoming Republican National Convention commencing on July 15.

Throughout the interview, Burgum maintained discretion regarding his own prospects while underscoring Trump’s prerogative in the selection process. He refrained from confirming or denying his candidacy, asserting that any insights into the matter would remain confidential between him and Trump.
