Do You Think Biden Is Afraid To Debate Trump?

Biden’s Fundraising Collapses?

President Joe Biden is set to attend a campaign fundraiser in Boston, Massachusetts, on Tuesday evening. However, one of the event’s hosts has expressed concerns that the president’s policies on Israel might negatively impact his re-election bid.

Earlier in the day, Biden will campaign in New Hampshire, a key battleground state that polls currently show as a toss-up for the 2024 general election.

Despite halting the transfer of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel earlier this month, Biden continues to face significant criticism within the Democratic Party for his approach to the conflict in Gaza. George Krupp, a co-host of the Boston fundraiser, has urged Biden to address the issue more decisively.

“I believe the situation with Israel has been disastrous for him,” Krupp stated in an interview with the Financial Times on Monday. “Biden needs to consider stopping arms shipments to Israel for both humanitarian and political reasons.”

These remarks came on the same day Biden vehemently refuted allegations of genocide against Israel.

“Contrary to the accusations made in the International Court of Justice, what’s happening is not genocide,” Biden declared at a Jewish American heritage celebration at the White House on Monday.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is closing the gap in campaign fundraising. Trump raised $76 million compared to Biden’s $51 million in the same period, marking the first time this cycle that Trump and the Republicans have surpassed Biden and the Democrats in monthly fundraising totals.

Trump’s fundraising success suggests that his legal troubles, including a hush money trial in New York, have not deterred major donors. A high-profile fundraiser hosted by billionaire John Paulson in Palm Beach significantly boosted Trump’s coffers with a record-setting $50.5 million.

“Only out-of-touch Hollywood billionaires still support Joe Biden, and even they are pulling back their donations to his failing campaign,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said. “Trump’s fundraising dominance and his rising poll numbers demonstrate that momentum is firmly on his side. Americans recognize the truth about Biden’s politically motivated trial in New York and want Trump back in the White House to Make America Great Again.”

Despite these developments, Biden maintains a significant lead in total fundraising, with approximately $100 million more cash on hand than Trump. Biden’s campaign argues that Trump’s mounting legal expenses are hindering his campaign efforts.

In a memo sent to reporters on Monday evening, Biden campaign officials noted that the Trump campaign spent twice as much on legal fees as on campaign activities last month and that 200 of Trump’s donors had already maxed out their contributions.

“It’s simple — the Trump campaign lacks the infrastructure, message, and candidate needed to win in November,” the Biden campaign asserted. “Just look at the facts — Trump canceled a third trip to Arizona this year.”
