Does Biden Deserve A 2nd Term As President?

Trump Deals Major Blow To Biden

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump asserted on Thursday that Texas should receive unwavering backing in its efforts to fend off what he termed an “invasion” of illegal immigrants streaming across the border. Trump called upon willing states to “deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of illegals.” This follows the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling allowing federal border agents to remove the razor wire installed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s National Guard.

Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley aligned herself with Trump and other Republicans supporting Abbott’s stance against the federal government regarding border control. She criticized President Joe Biden, stating it was “absolutely ridiculous” that he was hindering governors like Abbott from safeguarding their citizens. In a Truth Social post, Trump criticized the Biden administration for attempting to constrain Governor Abbott.

While the Supreme Court ruling didn’t forbid Texas from adding more razor wire, Abbott is taking additional measures. Trump, however, advocated for broader action, urging all willing states to deploy their guards to Texas, both to prevent illegal entry and to repatriate those already across the border. He emphasized the importance of supporting Texas authorities’ common-sense measures to protect safety, security, and sovereignty.

Nikki Haley, vying for the GOP’s presidential nomination, supported Abbott’s efforts on the social media platform X, asserting that Texas has the right to defend itself. Twenty-four Republican governors released a joint statement backing Abbott’s use of tools like razor wire fences to secure the border. Senator J.D. Vance introduced the State Border Security Act, aiming to prohibit the federal government from removing razor wire fencing.

Abbott, invoking Texas’ constitutional authority, declared an “invasion” to defend and protect the state. Trump concurred, endorsing Texas’ use of the Invasion Clause in the Constitution and emphasizing the need for full support. Haley highlighted her previous legal battles with Biden’s administration during her tenure as South Carolina governor.

Trump, reiterating his commitment to robust immigration measures, vowed to execute the “largest domestic deportation operation in history” on the first day of his presidency. He warned that those allowed in by Biden should not get comfortable, as they would eventually be sent back.
