Does Biden Deserve To Lose The 2024 Election?

Biden Derails His Own 2024 Run

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a Republican, has strongly cautioned against the potential nationalization of the Texas National Guard by President Biden, asserting that it would constitute a significant “political blunder” amid the ongoing conflict between the state and the administration regarding border security.

Governor Abbott emphasized the paramount importance of border security in the eyes of Americans, labeling it as the top issue in the country. Expressing his views on Fox News’s Sean Hannity show, he argued that the federalization of the Texas National Guard would be a colossal political mistake, predicting that President Biden would refrain from taking such a step.

Despite his confidence that the nationalization would not occur, Abbott asserted his preparedness to safeguard Texas’s border in the event of such a decision. He reiterated that while he would be “shocked” if President Biden opted for federalization, Texas would be ready to ensure its border security.

In a recent development, the Texas National Guard seemingly defied a U.S. Supreme Court ruling permitting the removal of razor wire along the U.S.-Mexico border, continuing construction activities. Governor Abbott justified this action, criticizing President Biden for perceived laxity in enforcing immigration laws.

Governor Abbott found support from several Republican governors across multiple states in his resistance against federal intervention. During the Monday interview, he expressed gratitude to his GOP counterparts, asserting that “half of America” is now standing against the Biden administration.

Throughout this standoff, Governor Abbott has consistently argued that the heightened involvement of the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard is within the state’s constitutional authority to protect itself from invasion. He remains steadfast in his belief that Texas possesses every constitutional right in this matter and anticipates that, in the end, the state will be vindicated, strengthening the adherence to constitutional principles.
