Biden Not Really Running The Show?
Former Trump administration Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently voiced significant concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s border policies, labeling them as not only “deeply dangerous” but also as a dereliction of the federal government’s duty to safeguard the nation.
In an interview on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM-N.Y., Pompeo underscored the perilous implications of allowing the current state of affairs at the border to persist. He likened the situation to “letting the inmates run the asylum,” emphasizing the potential influence on elections and governance. According to Pompeo, the open border policy not only poses immediate security threats but also raises the specter of catastrophic events akin to the 9/11 attacks, leaving the nation vulnerable.
Expressing grave concerns about incentivizing criminal elements to exploit the southern border, Pompeo highlighted the influx of drugs, weapons, and crime. He lamented the federal government’s failure to secure the border effectively, contrasting it with the proactive measures taken by Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott.
Pompeo also addressed allegations of a deliberate effort to funnel illegal migrants into sanctuary cities and states to manipulate population data for political gain. He suggested that such actions could be aimed at consolidating Democrat control over the country for years to come.
Moreover, Pompeo criticized proposals in Democrat-led states like New York to grant voting rights to illegal immigrants, deeming them unconstitutional and contrary to longstanding American principles.
In essence, Pompeo’s remarks underscore the multifaceted challenges posed by the current border policies, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to border security that prioritizes national interests and upholds the integrity of the democratic process.
