Should Biden And Trump Hold A Debate?

Cheney Steps Up To Bat For The Biden Family

Former Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) strongly criticized the chaotic events that unfolded in the House during the Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing on Wednesday, where Hunter Biden, the son of the President, made an unexpected appearance. Speaking on ABC’s “The View,” Cheney expressed her dismay at the “circus” that transpired in the hearing room, acknowledging that she had only seen clips of the tumult prior to her appearance on the program. Emphasizing the seriousness of the congressional inquiry process, Cheney called for elected representatives to demonstrate greater respect for the proceedings, stating firmly that “these are not games.”

During the interview, Cheney underscored the importance of accountability, asserting that Hunter Biden should be held responsible for his actions, just like any other individual. Reflecting on her experience as the vice-chair of the select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, she highlighted the committee’s success in obtaining testimony from witnesses who were initially reluctant to speak publicly about the incident and its underlying causes.

Hunter Biden’s unexpected presence at the hearing coincided with the committee’s deliberations on a resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress. This resolution stemmed from his refusal to comply with a subpoena issued last month as part of the impeachment inquiry into the President.

In recent weeks, Liz Cheney has been actively engaging in media interviews to promote her new book. In the book, she issues a warning about what she perceives as the potential dangers of another term in the White House for former President Trump. Cheney’s media appearances serve as a platform for her to articulate concerns and viewpoints on the current political landscape, drawing attention to her perspectives on issues of national significance.
