Will America Be At Risk Of Biden Wins The 2024 Election?

How Trump Is Winning The Immigration Battle

As the debate over a border security agreement unfolds in Congress, a recent Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll reveals a perceived vulnerability for President Joe Biden in handling immigration, a pivotal issue during Donald Trump’s presidency.

In the context of the 2024 elections, the survey focused on seven battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Notably, a growing number of voters in these states, constituting 61%, attribute at least partial responsibility to President Biden for the surge of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Contrastingly, 38% of voters in these states place blame on congressional Republicans, while 30% point fingers at the Trump administration. The data suggests a significant erosion of confidence in President Biden’s approach to immigration within these critical states.

The survey further underscores a shift in trust when it comes to immigration policies, with 52% of voters in the battleground states expressing greater confidence in Donald Trump compared to 30% for Biden. This 22-point margin has expanded by 5 points since December, highlighting a trend favoring Trump’s stance on immigration.

In a hypothetical one-on-one electoral matchup, Trump leads Biden by 48% to 42%, aligning with other polls that indicate Biden’s trailing position in key swing states. The economy emerges as the primary concern for respondents, with 51% expressing trust in Trump’s handling, while only 33% feel the same about Biden.

Immigration, ranking as the second most crucial issue for voters in the surveyed battleground states, reveals a preference for Trump by 52%, contrasting with 30% trusting Biden more on this matter. Despite concerns about the overall national economy, respondents demonstrate optimism when evaluating the economic conditions in their respective states, cities, and towns.

While Trump faces legal challenges with four criminal indictments, the survey highlights potential vulnerability in the general election if he is convicted. Approximately 23% of self-identified Republicans in battleground states claim they would withhold support in November should Trump face legal consequences.

The poll, conducted from January 16 to 22, involved 4,956 registered voters and carries a margin of error of plus/minus 1 percentage point. The findings suggest that immigration concerns and perceived weaknesses in economic management contribute to President Biden’s apparent vulnerability in key battleground states.
