White House Refuses To Work With Republicans

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, Representative Dan Meuser, a Republican from Pennsylvania, expressed skepticism about the possibility of congressional Republicans reaching a consensus with President Joe Biden during their scheduled meeting. Meuser cited the lack of progress on any agreement as a major hindrance to successful negotiations.

During the “Newsline” segment, Meuser was asked about the potential outcomes of the meeting between top Republicans and President Biden at the White House later that afternoon. His response was unequivocal: “No, I don’t believe so — only because we have made zero progress.”

Expanding on his stance, Meuser went on to highlight what he perceives as a regression in dealings with the Biden administration since its inception. Drawing attention to a recent visit to the border with Speaker Pelosi, he emphasized the worsening situation, stating, “It’s worse than ever.” The congressman provided alarming statistics, noting over 300,000 illegal crossings, instances of terrorist crossings, and a surge in drug trafficking, particularly in the Rio sector, which includes Eagle’s Pass, Texas.

Meuser didn’t mince words when assessing the Biden administration’s performance on border security. He asserted that the administration’s role in securing the border has been a “miserable failure.” Moreover, he suggested that if the objective was to maintain an open border, allowing the influx of drugs, illegal immigrants, and individuals on the terrorist watch list, then the administration has been “marvelously successful.”

The congressman raised serious concerns about the financial gains of cartels and coyotes, estimating that they make over a billion dollars annually through human trafficking. By characterizing the administration as “complicit,” Meuser conveyed a strong critique of its approach to border control and its alleged impact on national security.

As the meeting unfolded later in the day, the skepticism voiced by Representative Meuser hinted at the challenging dynamics surrounding negotiations between congressional Republicans and the Biden administration on critical issues such as border security.
